First place will be given 1000+(30xN) points where N is the number of contestants in that division (providing there is more than one heat).
Point Calculation Example
If there are 20 surfers in a division, below is what 1st, 2nd, 3rd places would be awarded:
1st Place: 1000 + (30 x 20) = 1600 Points
2nd Place: 1600 x 90% = 1440 Points
3rd Place: 1440 x 90% = 1296 Points
...and so on.
